In Pics: Heavy Snowfall in Kashmir chants the glory of this snow heaven

This year the winter in Kashmir brought snowfall ahead of the new year. Let’s explore the snow-called Kashmir Valley via our lens.

On the New Year’s Eve, Kashmir valley witnessed moderate snowfall at most places.

Snowfall started in Srinagar around 7 AM yesterday, several hours after it had begun in neighbouring Budgam and Pulwama districts. Kulgam and Anantnag districts of south Kashmir also witnessed snowfall.

The ski-resort of Gulmarg in north Kashmir recorded seven inches of fresh snowfall, while Pahalgam resort in the south and Sonamarg resort in central Kashmir received around three to four inches of snowfall each, according to officials.
