In Pics: Heavy Snowfall in Kashmir chants the glory of this snow heaven
This year the winter in Kashmir brought snowfall ahead of the new year. Let’s explore the snow-called Kashmir Valley via our lens.
On the New Year’s Eve, Kashmir valley witnessed moderate snowfall at most places.
Snowfall started in Srinagar around 7 AM yesterday, several hours after it had begun in neighbouring Budgam and Pulwama districts. Kulgam and Anantnag districts of south Kashmir also witnessed snowfall.
The ski-resort of Gulmarg in north Kashmir recorded seven inches of fresh snowfall, while Pahalgam resort in the south and Sonamarg resort in central Kashmir received around three to four inches of snowfall each, according to officials.
Snow shines over fruits and vegetables on display. 
People fulfil their duties and do their chores, walking on snowclad paths. 
Street vendors and hawkers pull their carts with snow in their faces. 
For some, the shining snow may be a dream; for others it is merely a routine. 
As far as the eyes can see, there is snow and fog that covers the reality. 
The vehicular movement also increases as tourists rush to Snowfall destinations in Kashmir valley. 
Pedestrians walk by the roadsides with the traditional pherans that keep them warm. 
Ladies wearing the traditional pheran talk about the snow lying on their paths. 
While snow covers everything visible, life goes on.
