The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) on Friday released the date sheets for the annual regular examinations of Class 10th and 12th for both Kashmir and Jammu division.

In a surprise move, the JKBOSE has also increased the relaxation in syllabus to 40 percent, which was earlier stated to be 30 percent. This effectively means the students appearing in these exams shall have to attempt only 60 percent of the paper that will proportionally be evaluated as having attempted 100 percent.

The development was also confirmed by Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, KK Sharma on his Twitter handle. He wrote, “Annual Regular Exams for Class 10th & 12th will commence from 9th & 10th Nov resp for Kmr & Winter Zone of Jammu. BOSE increases relaxation by 40℅, Students to attempt 60℅ marks which will be raised to 100%. Done in interest of students. Exams will end on 27th Nov & 9th Dec resp.”

Meanwhile, Chairperson JKBOSE Veena Pandita said the decision to increase the relaxation was taken during a review meeting held on Friday in which Advisor to Lieutenant Governor also participated.

JKBOSE Date Sheet for Class 10th & 12th Annual Exam 2020 (Kashmir Division):

The examination of Class 10th will commence from November 09, 2020 and is scheduled to end on November 27, 2020. While as the examination of Class 12th will commence from November 10, 2020 and is scheduled to end on December 09, 2020.

The timing for the examination is 11:30 AM. However, for Fridays, the timing is 10:30 AM.

The examination of Class 10th will commence from November 09, 2020, and is scheduled to end on November 27, 2020. While as the examination of Class 12th will commence from November 10, 2020, and is scheduled to end on December 09, 2020.

The timing for the examination is 11:00 AM. However, for Fridays, the timing is 10:30 AM.

As per the notification issued by the JKBOSE, all the concerned heads of the institutions have been advised to ensure proper heating and sitting arrangements for the candidates appearing in the aforesaid examinations.

They have been also advised to ensure proper sanitization of the exam centres before the commencement of these examinations.

Students appearing in the examinations have been advised to adhere to COVID-19 SOPs such as wearing of face masks, ensuring proper social distancing and use of hand sanitizers.
