Soundideaz Academy organises Grammy nominee – Joel Hamilton’s Master Class!

Following their decade-year-old culture of organising qualitative education initiatives, Soundideaz Academy invited Joel Hamilton, who is a Grammy & Latin Grammy Award nominee, to conduct a 1-day workshop on the topic- “Transparency is a Myth in Audio – Creative Recording and Production Concepts”. Hamilton is a Brooklyn based Record Producer, Sound Engineer & Writer, Musician & Co-owner of Studio G Brooklyn, New York. Besides successfully producing records by ‘The Black Keys’, ‘Highly Suspect’, ‘BRKN Love’, ‘Matisyahu’, and ‘Lettuce’, Joel has engineered & mixed albums of ‘Norah Jones’ and has worked with other eminent musicians. In the workshop that was held on 1st Feb 2020 at Yash Raj Studios, Andheri (West), Mumbai, many students and professionals got the opportunity to learn topics pertaining to ‘Live Recording of Drums & Guitars’, ‘How to Build a Mix from Scratch’ & above all, ‘Seek the techniques of developing good music production skills’, from the Master himself.
The master class followed by an interactive Q & A was enthusiastically attended by more than 35 attendees. The students and professionals were happy to have received world-class knowledge and techniques right at their doorstep! Joel Hamilton too remarked- “Indeed it was a very good experience to share my knowledge with Indian students & professionals. Thanks, everyone for making it great. The vision behind organising the workshop was to introduce world-class artists & technicians to the students and professionals of the audio and music industry in Mumbai.
