Bear Grylls ropes in Ajay Devgan for Discovery India’s Into The Wild

Bollywood actor Ajay Devgan will join names like Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Rajnikanth and Akshay Kumar as the guest in Bear Grylls’ Into The Wild series for Discovery India.

The next iteration of Bear Grylls renowned television show Into The Wild will have Bollywood actor Ajay Devgan as the guest. The show aired on Discovery India had earlier showcased big names like Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Rajnikanth and Akshay Kumar.

A teaser of the show has been made public by Discovery India on its official Instagram handle. The teaser which is currently being lapped up by fans has the actor mouth these words: “Yeh sherdilon ka manch hai. Yeh koi khel nahi hai bro”, which translates as “This is a stage for Bravehearts. This is no game bro”.

Discovery India has found a fair amount of success for its Into The Wild series and with prominent people like PM Modi and Rajnikanth already having been part of it, viewers look forward to more exciting stuff whenever Bear Grylls drops a hint on who’s going to be next.

Discovery India is in fact all thrilled to be lining up the nation’s popular stars for its programme. With Ajay Devgan being the next man in, the channel proclaimed on its social media space that “Surviving the wild is ‘bear’y tough. So when the lion of Bollywood Ajay Devgan takes on the ultimate survival challenge, will he be able to make it out fine? Find out on Into The Wild With Bear Grylls.”

Ajay Devgan has been garnering a fair amount of applause for the roles he had chosen to play, over the years. A National Award winner, he has been associated with brooding characters that portray the angry young man of the current era. A clutch of popular films along with critically acclaimed roles has already brought to him fame and fan base.

Last seen in Bhuj: The Pride of India, Devgan has films such as Sooryavanshi, Gangubai Kathiawadi, RRR, Maidaan, Thank God, and others lined up for the coming days. He has also started shooting for his digital debut series Rudra – The Edge of Darkness. He will also be seen donning the director’s role for a film titled Mayday, starring none other than Amitabh Bachchan.

Earlier episodes of Into The Wild had evoked considerable interest among viewers. Prime Minister Modi’s trip with Bear Grylls to Uttarakhand’s Jim Corbett National Park; and the Rajnikanth episode shot in Bandipur Tiger Reserve were instant hits.

Now it’s time for Ajay Devgan to bring in some added magic to Into The Wild. When the episode premieres October 22 on Discovery+ and on October 25 on Discovery, we will know more on that.
