The ‘greatest grand finale’ of Indian Idol 12 presented champion Pawandeep Singh with the dazzling trophy, a car, and a cheque of Rs 25 lakh.
On Sunday night, after over nine months of waiting, the Indian Idol 12 show on Sony TV has finally crowned its champion, Pawandeep Rajan reports the Indian Express. The ‘greatest grand finale’ concluded with judges Himesh Reshammiya, Anu Malik, and Sonu Kakkar presenting champion Pawandeep Singh with the dazzling trophy, a car, and a cheque of Rs 25 lakh.
Pawandeep Rajan gave his final performance, which left the viewers awestruck. He began his show by playing guitar and singing “Qaafirana,” a song from the Sushant Singh Rajput film Kedarnath. After that, his performances on ‘Hawayein,’ ‘Nadaan Parindey,’ and ‘Sadda Haq’ left his admirers speechless.
Indian Idol 12 runner ups
Among the Top six Finalists, Arunita Kanjilal and Sayli Kamble were awarded first and second runners-up, respectively, receiving a cheque of Rs. 5 lakhs each. Mohd. Danish and Nihal Tauro, the third and fourth runners-ups respectively, awarding a cheque of Rs. Three lakhs each.
The top six candidates — gave some spectacular performances on the 75th episode of one of the longest-running singing reality shows.
Renowned vocalists Sukhwinder Singh, Mika Singh, Amit Mishra, Kumar Sanu, Javed Ali, Alka Yagnik, and Udit Narayan performed, surprising the audience.
Bollywood stars galore at the finale
Guests also included Sidharth Malhotra, Kiara Advani, WWE champion Khali, Bade Achhe Lagte Hain lead duo Nakuul Mehta and Disha Parmar, among others, for the 12-hour finale.
A prominent television couple, Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa joined the team for a special segment and had everyone in hysterics. Vijay Deverkonda, the South star, also sent a video greeting to his favorite Shanmukhapriya, making the young singer blush. Aditya Narayan and Jay Bhanushali co-hosted the grand finale.
