Kareena Kapoor will be seen as villain in Telugu superstar Prabhas’s Spirit, which is being made in 8 different languages.
She’s been the leading lady to a handful of top stars. She has also played almost all versions of the sweet, cute and good woman in Bollywood. We will now watch her play the irksome baddie, for a change.
Kareena Kapoor Khan has been among the most sought-after actresses in Bollywood for quite along. Her roles have ranged from the cute and naughty to the suffering, thinking and brave woman. Many film characters she has played had earned her superstar status too among women actors during her heydays.
Kareena Kapoor will now travel south to play the villain in Telugu superstar Prabhas’s Spirit, which is being made in eight different languages. Prabhas already has a massive fan following post Bahubali, and he is among the much-loved leading men for cine-goers across India, irrespective of the language he is mostly seen in.
Prabhas – Kareena film by Kabir Singh director Sandeep Vanga
By getting Kareena to team up with Prabhas for Spirit, it looks like director Sandeep Reddy Vanga has effectively managed a casting coup. The two actors, who have fans across the Indian terrain, are seen as a major boon to a film that would come up in the post-pandemic era when theatres would open for business.
Spirit, which is expected to start rolling in 2023, will be a shift from what Kareena has done so far in her many movies. Playing the female villain would evoke much interest and when Kareena does that opposite Prabhas, Sandeep Reddy Vanga would look for a blockbuster, no less.
With Spirit helmed by Sandeep Vanga, who has to his credit major hits such as Arjun Reddy and Kabir Singh, the excitement is expected to be manifold. Spirit is said to be a police story with Prabhas playing the investigator’s role. That would also mean that action sequences would be a highlight.
Stay tuned for Kareena in Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha
Kareena Kapoor is already hogging a major part of the cinema limelight for her role in Laal Singh Chaddha. The film, even before its release, has already brightened her back on headline space as this will be her reunion with her co-star Aamir Khan after the immensely popular 3 Idiots. Laal Singh Chaddha is gearing up for release and we might get to watch the film in theatres next year.
Spirit is now much anticipated with Kareena set to play the baddie against Prabhas. Incidentally, Kareena’s husband Saif Ali Khan’s latest outing would be as a major character in Adipurush, Prabhas’s 3D flick based on the mythological tale of Ramayana.
