Edgy. Raw. Real – the trailer for MX Player’s newest crime drama, MX Original Series ‘High’ dropped today and it promises to be all that and more. This power-packed series has all that one can find in a thriller. The audience will witness a chase for the new ‘High’ in town among substance users, suppliers, peddlers, gang wars, media, pharma companies and a ruthless henchman.
An addict Shiv Mathur (Akshay Oberoi) struggling to get a grip on his life eventually finds himself in a rehab facility. Doctor Roy (Prakash Belawadi) runs the rehab along with two other junior doctors played by Shweta (Shweta Basu Prasad) and Nakul (Nakul Bhalla). The junior doctors are working on a mysterious compound, a magical pill that seems to have an edge about all. But is the miracle drug worth dying for?
The illegal drugs market is rattled with the existence and the sampling of this pill. The magic pill manages to grab the attention of the professional assassin Lakda (Ranvir Shorey), among many others. But will Shiv and the gang be able to achieve the dream or will they be eliminated?
The MX Original High comprises of 9 episodes directed by acclaimed ad film maker Nikhil Rao. It also witnesses star performers like Mrinmayee Godbole, Kunal Naik, Mantra and Madhur Mittal in key roles.
