After brief firing, ‘Lamboo Bhai’ among militants escape gunfight site in Pulwama

The militants reportedly managed to escape the gunfight site in Pulwama after a brief exchange of fire with government forces.
The gunfight had erupted between the militants and a joint team of Police, CRPF and Indian Army in Parigam village of Pulwama district in southern Kashmir on Thursday.
As per reports reaching here, one among the escaped militants was purportedly a top Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) commander.
Local media reports, quoting an unnamed police officer, said that specific inputs were received that two militants including Jaish-e-Mohammad commander with the code name “Lambo Bhai” were trapped.
The officer said that the militants “seem to have fled soon after the gunfight broke out.” However, the officer said that the searches in the area are still going on.
Pertinently, the brief gunfight had erupted after a joint team of Police, Army and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Parigam village this afternoon.
