Arvind Kejriwal doing politics over Covid vaccination: Manohar Khattar

Manohar Khattar said Arvind Kejriwal did a drama by saying that he was closing the vaccination centers due to a shortage of vaccines

Chief Minister of Haryana and BJP leader, Manohar Lal Khattar on Sunday accused the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of doing politics over the Covid vaccination going on in the Union Territory.

The BJP leader made the accusation during a Digital Press Conference on Sunday.

Arvind Kejriwal did a drama by saying that he was closing the vaccination centers due to shortage of vaccines. In fact, New Delhi was getting more stock of vaccines when compared to other States and Union Territories. Instead of behaving in a sensible manner, Arvind Kejriwal is doing politics,” he said.

“Delhi is getting more vaccines than Haryana but still he is behaving like this. Instead, he should follow other states who have started making their arrangements through global tenders,” Khattar had said.

After coming across the video, the Delhi CM posted the short video of Manohar Lal on his Twitter handle, while saying that his aim was to save the lives of people instead of saving the vaccines.

“Khattar Sahib, will save lives by the vaccine itself. The sooner the vaccine is put, the more people will be safe. My aim is not to save the vaccine, but to save people’s lives,” he posted with the video.

Delhi’s chief minister on Wednesday (May 26) had raised a concern on the COVID-19 vaccine distribution by the Centre to the national capital, highlighting that there was no vaccine left in the city and vaccination centers for the age group 18 and 44 years has been shut for four days.

Speaking at a virtual press conference, Kejriwal also added that just like in Delhi, several other states across India are forced to shut vaccination centers due to a shortage of vaccines.
