Encounter And Hardcore Search Operation Underway In Tral

Reports said that a joint team of Army’s 42 RR, 180 BN of CRPF and SOG launched a cordon and search operation in Branpathry Kahlil.

Srinagar, India, Sunday, 7 April 2019–

An exchange of gunshots reportedly happened today in the morning in Tral area between Militants and Security Forces.

Firing continued from both sides in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district

According to sources, the operation is being carried out by a joint team of Army’s 42 RR, 180 BN of the Central Reserve Police Force and the Special Operations Group Force in Kashmir.

Meanwhile, more reinforcements have been rushed to the encounter site. An extensive search operation is underway.

Reports said that a joint team of Army’s 42 RR, 180 BN of CRPF and SOG launched a cordon and search operation in Branpathry Kahlil.

A senior Police officer told that there was a brief exchange of firing between militants and goverment forces in Branpathry Kahlil.

The officer further said that its a forest area, right now there is no exchange of firing going on but the forces have tightened cordon.

As per the sources two to three militants of JeM are believed to be trapped.
