IED blast rocks southern Kashmir’s Bijbehara
No injury reported in the blast

As per reports, the IED was kept in a scrap in a Dumper on the old highway (NHW Pazalpora-Bijbehara). It was triggered off and exploded with a loud bang, in the close vicinity of a CRPF party nearby.
An Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was triggered off by suspected militants on Tuesday in Pazalpora Bijbehara area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
However, no injuries to either the CRPF men or any civilians has been reported during the incident so far. Although, damage to window-panes of few nearby vehicles and some shops was reported.
Meanwhile, a team of Police, Army and intelligence agencies have reached the spot of incident and are investigating.
The government forces have also laid a siege around the area, in a bid to nab the attackers. More details are awaited.
