Amid sobs, people attend last rites of PDP leader’s PSO in Budgam
The large gathering was witnessed, even as the threat of pandemic of COVID-19 has not subsided.

Amid sobs and tears, people attended the last rites of slain Jammu & Kashmir Police Constable, PSO Manzoor Ahmad at his native village Nagam Chadoora in J&K’s Budgam district.
The last rites of the slain cop were attended by thousands of people from the locality, with tears rolling down the eyes of his close relatives.
The large gathering was witnessed, even as the threat of pandemic of COVID-19 has not subsided.
It is pertinent to mention here that Manzoor was killed in a suspected militant attack in Natipora area of Srinagar yesterday, just outside the residence of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leader Parvez Ahmad.
As per reports, PSO Manzoor Ahmad had gone to the market to buy milk and he was shot at near the entry gate of the PDP leader.
In the attack, the Personal Security Officer (PSO) received bullet injuries, after which he was shifted to Bone and Joints Hospital, Barzulla. However, the wounded PSO Manzoor Ahmad succumbed soon afterwards.
“He had bullet injuries and succumbed,” a doctor at the hospital said.
PSO Manzoor Ahmad (Belt number 328) was a selection grade constable in Jammu & Kashmir Police.
