Sara Hayat Shah appointed as head Social Media Cell JKNC and Ifra Jan as the new Additional Spokesperson
The Jammu Kashmir National Conference on Friday appointed Sara Hayat Shah as the head of its Social Media Cell.
As per the details, the appointment was made even as the party’s new Additional Spokesperson role in the Kashmir region was also handed to a young lady – Ifra Jan.
In a tweet, the party said, “JKNC is pleased to announce the appointment of Sara Hayat Shah as head Social Media Cell JKNC and Ifra Jan as the new Additional Spokesperson (Kashmir).”
After the new appointments, former chief minister and JKNC leader Omar Abdullah congratulated the appointees.
“Congratulations & good luck with the new responsibilities Sara Hayat Shah. We are all there to help you succeed. Welcome to the team Ifra Jan,” Omar tweeted, adding, “I’m sure JKNC will benefit from having you as one of our spokespersons.”
Also, the party nominated Youth District Presidents for Kashmir Province.
It is pertinent to mention that the Jammu & Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) is a regional political party in the Indian union territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
Founded as the All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference by Sheikh Abdullah and Chaudhry Ghulam Abbas in 1932 in the princely state of Jammu and Kashmir, the organization renamed itself to “National Conference” in 1939 in order to represent all the people of the state. It supported the accession of the princely state to India in 1947.
