Three Lashkar-e-Taiba militants killed as gunfight ends in J&K’s Pulwama

IG Police Vijay Kumar confirmed the killing of three militants in a joint operation carried out by J&K Police and Army’s 50RR in Harkipora village of Pulwama.

Three Lashkar-e-Taiba militants were killed in a gunfight at Hakripora village of Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Tuesday.

As per local media reports, Inspector General of Police (Kashmir) Vijay Kumar also confirmed the killing of three militants in the gunfight, adding that this group was involved in the attack on CRPF yesterday in Pulwama’s Gangoo village wherein two CRPF troopers were injured.

The ‘operation’ at Hakripora village of Pulwama was carried out by a joint team of Police and Army’s 50RR.

It is pertinent to mention that five militants have been killed in two separate encounters in the last 24 hours. Two militants were killed in an overnight encounter in Shopian district’s Melhoora village.
