New Delhi, India, Friday, May 17, 2019–

The downpour in Delhi and surrounding areas gave a bit of relief for the residents. The rainfall has been quite an irregular one in the past 2 days.

The morning rains satiated the thirst of the trees and nature had played its role shyly. However, this evening In Delhi brought violent sandstorm and light thundering with it.

Among reported are the areas of Dwarka where our team managed to capture a glimpse before reaching to safety.

The dust storm lasted several minutes and didn’t seem like the regular storm before the rain. The storm seemed to hit in circular waves of dust and caused traffic jam in some areas. However, soon the vehicles were cleared as soon as the storm came to rest.

Accuweather reports several parts of Delhi to be mostly cloudy and prone to storms today. Slight rainfall is expected to brush the night today.

As per SkyMetWeather, the Cyclone is over interior Odisha and the wind flow is easterly over Delhi-NCR. Thus, we expect isolated thunderstorm, dust storm and thundershower activities to occur today as well. By tomorrow, the impact of Fani would start fading. The winds would then change their direction from easterlies to westerlies.

Humidity To Decrease In Delhi

The humidity levels would decrease while temperatures would increase. Chances of rainfall will become rare. According to experts, the temperatures might become above normal and would eventually lead to heat wave conditions.

Next activity will be seen in Delhi whenever a new system like a Western Disturbance, induced Cyclonic Circulation or a trough appears.
