Pushpa: The Rise poster comes handy for cops in helmet awareness drive

Hyderabad traffic cops have used a poster from Pushpa: The Rise to call upon the citizens of Hyderabad to wear helmets while riding two-wheelers.

Filmmaker Sukumar’s ‘Pushpa: The Rise’, that has southern superstar Allu Arjun playing the lead, has been making waves for its popularity. The film has been racing ahead in terms of success.

The film has already broken box-office records by collecting more than Rs 300 crore. The film which was also released in Hindi saw Rs 90 crore collections. With the OTT release also happening on Amazon Prime Video, the reach has grown manifold.

The film is now being used by the Hyderabad Traffic Police to create awareness on wearing helmets while riding two-wheelers. The police have picked a poster of ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ and are making use of it to make two-wheeler owners ensure that they wear helmets whenever they take out their vehicles.

Using films and film-related material to create awareness among the general public is not new. This time around the Hyderabad Traffic Police wants to ensure the success of ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ trickle down in terms of what the hero, a superstar in his own right, practices on screen and make his fans also do the same.

Helmet awareness campaign

A poster that has Allu Arjun wearing a check shirt and riding a bike with a helmet strapped to his head has been picked by the cops for this massive awareness drive. Driving home the point that superstars wear helmets and helmets save lives of people, the cops have called upon the citizens of Hyderabad to wear helmets while riding two-wheelers.

Allu Arjun is a much loved actor in the south and his films are keenly awaited as soon as they are announced. Most of his films have been grand successes at the box-office till date, but ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ has taken this success rate to whole new level already. The film is also receiving rave reviews for Arjun’s acting skills, thus classifying the flick as a mass-plus-class venture.

Besides, ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ also has Malayalam super star and widely acclaimed actor Fahad Faasil donning the role of the antagonist. The combination has made the film a success. Adding to the popularity is the presence of Rashmika Mandanna in the leading lady role.

Apart from these factors, ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ became a much sought after film even before release dates were announced just for the ‘O Antava…’ item number that had Samantha Ruth Prabhu adding to the hotness quotient.

Soon after the Hindi version was lapped up by the north Indian audiences, another superhit flick titled ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’, which had its Telugu release last year, is being lined up for a Hindi-dubbed release in cinemas on January 26.

All said, the Hyderabad Traffic Police are an excited lot as their campaign towards creating awareness on the need for wearing helmets while riding two-wheelers is getting noticed.
