Design unicorn Canva now accepts UPI payments, Check out Canva plans and pricing

The beginner-friendly design giant Canva has helped every creator bring out the best in them with easy-to-use design templates and tools.

Canva, the famous graphic design platform is now a go-to tool for creative designing for beginners to social media savvy people. Founded in 2013 by Melanie Perkins, Cliff Obrecht, and Cameron Adams, the company is headquartered in Australia with millions of users across the world. As of Sept 2021, the company valuation was estimated to be $40bn in September 2022.

It started as a design platform however, later on, Canva acquired several other platforms including Germany-based free stock photography sites Pixabay and Pexels to expand their in-house image components for the users. It also acquired the Czech company Smartmockups and an Austrian startup Kaleido.ai to further encompass all design requirements under a single umbrella.

It faced a major security breach in May 2019 which was reported to the FBI. The design platform requested all its users to change passwords for their security, irrespective of whether their accounts were breached or not.

Canva Plans And Pricing

The design unicorn has various plans based on the user’s requirements and utility.

  1. The Free Plan: Canva’s Free Plan gives users access to 250,000+ templates along with 100+ design types for posts such as social media, letters, posters, etc. The free plan also gives access to millions of free images, elements and other graphics to use for content creation. It comes with 5GB of cloud storage.
  2. The Pro Plan: Canva Pro Plan costs INR 3,999.00 annually for up to 5 users. It provides users with over 100 million premium photos, vectors, graphics, etc among other elements. The users can maintain brand identity in this plan. It comes with 100 GB of cloud storage along with additional time-saving features like ‘background remove’ and ‘resize’.
  3. The Enterprise Plan: Canva’s Enterprise Plan is suitable for a medium-sized design team with up to 25 users. It costs INR 2200.00 a month or INR 26,400.00 billed annually. It allows the users to work on multiple brand kits, which makes it feasible for a marketing/design development agency. It comes with unlimited cloud storage given the utility and larger scope of work keeping in mind 25 users.

Payment Modes For Subscriptions

You can pay via Credit Card or a Debit Card to upgrade your subscription on Canva. The Unified Payments Interface (UPI) has also been added as a mode of payment for Canva now, making payments easier for users.
