Spotify users can now filter liked songs by mood and genre

Audio streaming platform Spotify rolls out a new feature in its mobile application.

Spotify is introducing a new feature that will help users to filter their liked songs by mood and genre. The feature will however be only rolled out in the mobile application. It won’t be available in the desktop version yet.

Earlier the application clubbed all liked songs under a playlist. This will now be filtered based on mood and genre. This comes as good news to Spotify enthusiasts as filtering liked songs to find a particular song.

Spotify will roll out the feature to users in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, irrespective of being free or premium users. It will be available on both Android and iOS devices.

Spotify users need to have at least 30 tracks in their liked songs collection to use this feature. There are 15 personalised mood and genre categories to filter the liked songs.
