Independence Day 2021: PM Modi Unveils Rs 100 lakh-crore Gati Shakti master plan

New Delhi: 75th Independence Day; Beti Bachao Beti Padhao initiative- PM Modi announced that all Sainik Schools will now be open for the daughters of the nation.

India celebrates its 75 years of Independence; Prime Minister addressed the nation from the ramparts of Lal Qila. Lal Qila or Red Fort is the same spot from where Jawaharlal Nehru hoisted the Tricolor when India achieved Independence and became the creator of its own destiny.

PM Modi announced the launch of Rs 100 lakh-crore Gati Shakti national infrastructure plan to boost the country’s economy.

Giving a brief outline of the government’s key plans over the next two years, Modi added that the 100 lakh-crore national infrastructure master project had been planned to give a path to our economy. The focus this time will be on manufacturing and export.

The focus of the Prime Minister’s speech on the 75th anniversary of Independence was also India’s Olympic contingent, frontline and healthcare workers, and Covid warriors, and paid tribute to former leaders of the country, including Jawaharlal Nehru.

Independence Day – Remembering stalwarts of the Indian Independence movement

Mr. Modi remembered the stalwarts of the Indian Independence movement. He said that the nation will always be thankful to leaders like Vallabhbhai Patel, Lal Bahadur Shastri, or Jawaharlal Nehru, who brought Independence.

Modi lauds achievement of athletes at the Tokyo Olympics

The Prime Minister also took the occasion to laud the achievements of the athletes at the Tokyo Olympics and asked the nation to do the same. 240 Olympians, support staff, Sports Authority of India, and sports federation officials were also a part of this year’s Independence Day Celebrations.

P.M Modi also lauded the courageous service of all frontline and healthcare workers who helped the country fight the Covid-19 pandemic. He added that our doctors, nurses, paramedical staff, sanitation workers, and scientists developing vaccines deserve our appreciation and gratitude.

The nation is in the midst of the largest vaccination program, and more than 54 crore people have received their shots so far. Modi hailed the patience shown by the Indian people and said that it is the hard work of our industrialists and scientists that the nation is not dependent on any other nation for vaccines.

The Indian Express reported that the Prime Minister also set the 100th Independence Day to make India self-sufficient or Atmanirbhar Bharat. One hundred percent of villages have roads, 100 percent of households have a bank account, 100 percent beneficiaries should have Ayushman Bharat cards, and 100 percent eligible persons should have a gas connection under the Ujjwala scheme.

Sainik Schools across the nation will now be open for girls

 Narendra Modi also announced that Sainik Schools across the country will now be open for girls. Modi added that daughters of the nation have excelled in every field, and we have to ensure that they get equal opportunities and they feel safe and respected

Making India the hub for Hydrogen export

The Prime Minister also launched the National Hydrogen Mission to make India the world’s largest gas exporter. Calling Green Hydrogen the future of the world, Mr. Modi said he plans to make India the global hub of Hydrogen. He also called India’s small-scale farmers India’s pride and said that 80% of our farmers have less than 2 hectares of land. We have to focus on helping our small farmers.
