Amid speculations of Tripura cabinet reshuffle, CM Biplab Kumar calls on PM Modi
After meeting BL Santhosh, the BJP’s General Secretary for Organization Biplab Kumar Deb said “Received valuable direction & support from him to strengthen the party”
On Friday, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb met Prime Minister Narendra Modi to ‘discussing the progress being made under various developmental schemes in the state.
A photo of Deb meeting Modi was posted by the prime minister’s office, saying, “Tripura CM Shri Biplab Kumar called on PM Narendra Modi.”
Meanwhile, Mr. Biplab Kumar said, “Called on PM Shri Narendra Modi ji in New Delhi today. Extensively discussed the progress being made under various developmental schemes in Tripura.”
“Under PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji’s visionary leadership, we are committed to achieving the objective of Transforming Tripura.”
The meeting attains significance as Deb also met BL Santhosh, the BJP’s General Secretary for Organization.
“Delighted to meet BJP General Secretary (org.) Shri BL Santhosh ji and briefed him about the Party work and pro-people initiatives taken by our government under the guidance of PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji,” a tweet from the chief minister said, adding, “Also, received valuable direction & support from him to strengthen the party.”
Political analysts speculate that Biplab Kumar Deb’s meeting with Santhosh comes as the BJP is mulling to change the state government’s ministers.
There are chances that some new faces may be inducted after the reshuffle.
